On May 20, 2010, Micah walked the stage at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and got his diploma for graduating Kindergarten. It has been a long, hard year, but we could not be more proud! Noah did not get to see his brother graduate because he was running a fever - so he stayed at a friend's house. When we arrived at the church we realized Micah had no shoes on. He had left the house with no shoes! Luckily, Noah had an extra pair of shoes in the car - unfortunately for Micah, they are two sizes too small! The show must go on....and it did.
Micah and his friends sang songs: "America", "Yankee Doodle", "Rig-A-Jig, Jig", "America the Beautiful" and "The Star Spangled Banner" and "Jesus You are Wonderful". They recited the sweetest poem:
When I started kindergarten
I couldn't feel much smaller
but I've been growing, growing, growing
and not just growing taller
I learned to read, I learned to writeI learned my numbers too
But there are many other things
that I have learned to do
Kindergarten's over now
but I am not afraid
Beacause I know
that I'm ready to enter
FIRST GRADE!!!!
Micah was presented with Honor Roll; Excellence in Social Studies, Bible and Music and received the Bible character award of Job for Great Improvement!

That's WONDERFUL!!!! Such a different little boy and family from last fall when grace, love and care, and a desire to truly help find something that works for the child comes from the educators. Congratulations Micah, what a blessing!
