School is in session and we couldn't be happier!!!! Seriously. Everyone is happy. Of course, it is only the third day of school! Here's hoping for the momentum to continue to roll on the rest of the school year!
On Thursday, August 12, 2010 Micah had his first day in the first grade. We went to Unity the week before so he could meet his teacher and see his classroom. It was a relief for him to realize he was going back to Unity, to the same building, with the same friends.
Wednesday night I told him to go into the bathroom and brush his teeth. I round the corner to see him standing in front of the mirror with his hair soaked down, brushing it...under no duress!!! Shocked is an understatement. I said, "What are you doing?" He turned to me and smiled, "Does it look good?" hee hee...I do believe he may have a crush on his teacher!
Noah is starting in Pre-K. He wouldn't let me take a picture of him by himself. I am working hard to let him grow up - he is going to be 5 this fall. It is so hard - he is my baby.
Noah failed his intial hearing test so we had to go for a second one. The technician said that he could hear just fine. Every morning we have to ask him, "Do you have your listening ears on?" He reaches up and pretends to turn them..."Yep, they are on." Of course, there are those days..."I brought my listening ears to school but I forgot to turn them on." The kid is just in a world of his own!
Both of the boys have amazing teachers - we are so blessed to be a part of the Unity family! I am excited to see what God does with both of them this year!
